The Downey family's metalworking heritage began in 1964, when my father founded his fabrication business. Growing up in the trade, I learned every aspect of metal fabrication-from design and detailing to production and installation.

DowMet, LLC's expertise extends beyond U.S. borders. We have supplied architectural metal components for the American Embassy Compounds worldwide, working in coordination with the U.S. Department of State's Overseas Building Operations (OBO) team.
Our scope has included column covers, panel systems-including FEBR cladding systems-handrails, canopies, and specialty architectural elements, all fabricated to meet rigorous federal standards for quality and security.
Each component is piece-marked, seaworthy-crated, and shipped with detailed packing lists and erection drawings for containerized transit, ensuring precise installation under demanding international conditions.
